![]() You may also find usefull the link below, it lists various military buildings and ruins in Wroclaw and the area: Various fortifications are spread in the city, mostly in the outskirts, if you intend to see these you would probably need some very good local guide - maybe some history student from Wroclaw University - as these are not exposed at all, often ruined, hidden in bushes etc. You can also see a civilian bomb shelter on the main railroad station (Dworzec Główny). There's a bunker just next to the Old Town (on so called Wzgórze Partyzantów - Liebichs Höhe) hosting HQ of Festung Breslau for some time. Nice pubs and night life as well if you like to have a dring after a day of work.Īs for souvenirs from the II WW there are dozens of various fortifications, bunkers and shelters making part of Festung Breslau in 1945. I loved to go there, it's beautifull, particularly the Old Town and Ostrow Tumski (the island). I live in Warsaw but got a family in Wroclaw.
